Excited to Learn or Tuned Out?
Learning should be exciting. Yet many kids are turned off. Test result worries lead to less time on critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning.
Innovative:
Drug Scene Investigators is a five-case computer game dealing with a subject often ignored in schools: drugs of abuse. During each mystery-solving case, students use deductive analysis and critical thinking to learn about drugs — learning skills transferable to other problems. Pilot testing (here’s a demo) proves students love it, and learn. (See the results.)
